Shorokhov Pavel-Igor Ivanovich

Born on June 5, 1946 in the city of Ligante, Latvia

Since 1984 Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Education:

1970 – 1973 Alma-Ata Art School named after V.I. N.V. Gogol, specialty sculpture (diploma with honors).

Work experience:

1973 – 1977 Alma-Ata Art School named after N.V. Gogol, teacher of sculpture

1977 – 1997 Improvement system in Almaty, sculptor

Exhibitions:

Participant of republican, all-union and international exhibitions.

For many years he was a member of the artistic councils of the Almatygoroformlenie combine, VDNKh, the department of culture of the city of Almaty, the Central Republican Art Council of the Hoodfond.

Sculptural compositions in Almaty: at the circus (“Clown”, “Acrobat”, “Panther”); “Flamingos and Lotuses” at the Zangar trading house; “Children at play” near the Telecom building on Zhybek-Zholy; “Camel”, “Yabloko”, “Turtles”, “Postman”, “Snail” and “Megalithic abacus” in the housing complex – “Capital Center”; “Irrigator” and “Reading” – in the Nurly Tau business complex; “Fountain with Turtles”, “Fountain with Apple Tree” and “Bee” – in the Botanical Garden microdistrict; park compositions “Tazsha-bala” – in a pine park and “Bars” – in Central Park; sculpture “Childhood” – in the park near the Opera House; reliefs “Storks” – on Dostyk Avenue and “Camels” – in the park of the “Kazakhstan” hotel, etc. Monument to S. Sharipov, gravestones to B. Momysh-uly, K. Mukhamedzhanov, Z. Nurkadilov and others.

More than one hundred memorial plaques to outstanding figures of Kazakhstan (including 40 portrait ones).

In Astana: a series of compositions on “Round Square” – “Girl on Rollers”, “Tabunok”, “Birds”, “Lovers”, “Sprout”, “Eaglet” and “Pelicans”; sculpture “Takeoff” – at the residential complex “Triumph of Astana”; two-figure composition “Gallant Age” – in the “French Quarter”, two compositions “Children’s Art” at the Palace of Schoolchildren; composition “Procession” – on Kabanbai-batyr (Hilton hotel), etc. Ten sculptural compositions in the city of Balkhash. Monuments to T. Ryskulov and B. Momyshuly in Talgar. Equestrian monument to Kabanbai batyr and monument to D. Kunaev in Ucharal. Equestrian monument to Zhanibek-Tarkhan in Arkalyk.
